Rose-Marie Blaakman Bourke, age 81 of Eindhoven, Netherlands passed away on January 31st 2021 in Rochester NY after a months long struggle in the hospital.
Funeral services will be held (date of funeral to be determined) at St Thomas the Apostle Catholic church at 4536 St. Paul Blvd. with Father Dennis Bonsignore officiating. Arrangements are by Newcomer funeral home.
Rose-Marie was born in Eindhoven Netherlands to Constantinus and Marie Blaakman on February 18, 1939. She married Gerard F. Bourke on June 10, 1972 in Rochester NY. She worked as a professional secretary for Kodak and a number of other employers when she was younger. She was an amazing mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt and friend to many. Rose was a devote Catholic and dedicated to her faith and God.
Rose is preceded in death by her parents Constantinus and Marie, her brothers Roger, Marcel, John, and Stan, her sisters Marie-Louise, and Marie-Jose (Mary-Jo), as well as a number of well-loved in-laws.
Rose is survived by her husband Gerard, her son Sean, her sister Annie, and her brothers Arsen, Frank, Amiel, and Guido as well as many many numerous loved nieces and nephews.
She was the sweetest lady, and is now looking down on us from heaven. She will be sorely missed.
