Rochester: Thursday, June 4th, 2009 at age 91. He is survived by his children, David (Diana) Briggs, Cynthia (William) Fisher and Daniel (Jane)_ Briggs; grandchildren, Julie (Mike) Schwan, Dana (Mitchell) Wright, Gary (Jody) Briggs, Elizabeth (Jerry) Wares, Heather Briggs, Carolyn (Tim) Olsen, Robert (Alice) Fisher, Sara (Ryan) Pangburn and Molly Briggs; 15 great grandchildren; 3 great-great children and his extended family at Sue's Rest Home in Hornell.
Roy was a WWII Navy Veteran who served in the South Pacific.
Family and friends may call Friday, June 12th, 5-8 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. where his Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 8PM. Friends may gather Saturday morning, 10 AM at the main gate at White Haven Memorial Park for a Graveside Service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sue's Rest Home, 396 Canisteo St., Hornell, NY 14843 in Roy's memory.
