Passed away at the age of 93.
Predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years Peter DeYoung. Mother and father Lucy and Ed Richardson. Sister and brother-in-law Mina and Bill Button.

Survived by her son Peter (Peggy) DeYoung Jr. Daughter Kathy Dwyer. 4 grandchildren, Joshua (Laura) DeYoung, Nicholas (Alyssa) DeYoung, Lucy(Paulo) Zamora and Luke Dwyer (Cathy).
Five great grandchildren Whit, Nina and Henry DeYoung, Audriana and Mateo Zamora.
2 loving nieces Linda Saucke, Lois (Ronnie) Smay. Very special friend Donna Rotondi.
They provided sunshine and joy to Mom's days while living at the Villages at Unity.

Mom was a lifetime member of Wesley United Methodist Church, were she was a member of the United Methodist Woman and a member of the choir. She would say she was "born" into the church. She worked at Eastman Kodak until she quit to raise her new family in Greece, NY.

Mom was a happy person who loved life. She was quick to give a smile and laugh.
She loved spending time with her family whether hunting, fishing, family picnics, playing Bocciball, cards, or Scrabble (she was the Scrabble queen!).

The best years of her life (65 summers!) were enjoyed at the family cottage Dad bult on Chaumont Bay, at Three mile Bay. Many family memories were made there and Mom loved reciting past stories from the years she spent at the shore..

Her travels took her and Dad to Hawaii, Alaska and to her sister's house in Florida. She enjoyed traveling with family and grandchildren and her trips to New Foundland to find her family roots were a special highlight in her life.

Mom kept detailed scrapbooks her entire life sharing her journey for all to read.. Her typewriter was never far away.

Mom died as she lived with faith, the love of family and grace.

The love, laughter and legacy Ruth leaves behind are woven into the hearts and memories of her family and friends.
She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her...
