May 31, 2005. Forevermore in the arms of the Lord. Ruth is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Phillip Kilgras, who took tender loving care of her up to the last moments of her life, and whom she loved dearly. She leaves five devoted daughters, Linda Specht, Nancy(David)Powderly, Tracey Kilgras, Jill Kilgras and Heidi Kilgras; grandson, Michael(Donna)Specht; great-granddaughters, Jessica and Jennifer; grandson, Tim(Samantha)Specht; granddaughter, Katie Powderly; her mother,Dorothy Steves; brothers, Henry(Carm)Steves, Rev. Jack(Carol)Steves and Jerry (Bernice)Steves; sister, Marion Krukowski; sisters-in-law, Sheila(Lawrence)Volpe, Marlene(Robert)Panello; brother-in-law, Don Kilgras; sister-in-law, Nancy Kilgras; cousins, aunts, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors; predeceased by her sister, Pat Skillington,. Ruth leaves beloved old friends from grammar through high school days; from the neighborhoods of Heidelberg St. and Salem Rd.; and from the Senior Dances at MCH and Danforth Center. She leaves also a dear friend, Clara Conklin, who was always there for her, day or night; and to all of those who called her "Mom" she leaves a legacy of love-she had enough for all of you; Eileen, Dorothy, Dawn, Kathy, Laura C., Paula and Latoya("Chubby").
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Eldersource, 1900 South Clinton Ave., Rochester, Ny 14618 or Lifetime Care Hospice Service, 70 Metro Park, Rochester, NY 14623. There will be a Memorial Service to celebrate Ruth's life on July 2, 2005 at 9:00 A.M. in White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Road, Pittsford NY at the All Seasons Chapel.
