Passed peacefully, January 30, 2021 at the age of 93.
Ruth was born February 5, 1927, and was a lifelong resident of the Rochester area.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ida "Cutbill" Easton, husband Alfred W. Smith, son Michael T. Smith, and a great-granddaughter Lizzy Spencer.
She is survived by her sons Alfred (Margaret) Smith, Don (Kim) Smith, Gary (Linda) Smith; her daughters Jan Barney and Bev (Marty)Mihalenko; daughter-in-law Jean Smith. Also her grandchildren Sandy Dipasquale, Karen (Larry) Perkins, Brian (Sara) Bickersmith, Colleen (Shaun Baxter) Smith, Jack Spencer, Jim (Andrea) Spencer, Walter Mihalenko, Katie Mihalenko, Carrie Nelson, Kim (John) Burkett, Josh Smith, Mike (Krystal) Tette, Jennifer Summers.
Ruth is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren: Alexis Dipasquale, Ethan Perkins, Violet and Mira Bickersmith, Jon Spencer, Paighton and Breydon Nelson, Kayla Burkett, Mason and Oliver Tette, Daniel and Elliot Summers; step-great-grandchildren John Burkett Jr., Emanual and Tanya Quinones. She also leaves behind a great-great-granddaughter Ava Stallworth.
Ruth is also survived by her brother-in-law Ronald (Nancy) Smith, and several nieces and nephews.
Private burial will be at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held June 12, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the William Maher Lodge, 836 Sanford Rd. South, Churchville, NY.
