CHILI- Salvatore J. Ferreri Jr., 81, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019 surrounded by the love of his family.
Sam was born in Rochester, NY on January 26, 1938 to the Late Salvatore and Sarah Ferreri. Sam retired from Zerox in 2001 and moved to the Villages in Florida. In his retirement, he enjoyed fishing, golfing, and playing poker. His passion in life was his family.
Sam is predeceased by his beloved son, Salvatore J. Ferreri III, and his daughter-in-law, Sharon.
He is survived by his children, Jeff A. Ferreri, and Tricia (David) Hillman, his daughter-in-law, Joanne Ferreri, his 7 grandchildren, Michael, AJ, Meghann, Leah, Joseph, Daniel, and Thomas, his great-grandson, Francis, his siblings, Anthony (Marlene) Ferreri, and Michael (Rose Marie) Ferreri, several nieces, and nephews, and all of his friends in Florida. He will be greatly missed.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester, NY 14626, on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, from 4:30pm-7:30pm. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Cecelia's Church, 2732 Culver Rd, Rochester, NY 14622, on Thursday, August 29, 2019, at 11:00am. Burial will be held at White Haven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Sam's name to Hildebrandt Hospice, 2652 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626.
