Passed peacefully on November 24, 2016 at the age of 92, with daughter Sheila at his side.

Predeceased by his beloved wife of 68 years, Jean (Marcanio) Lippa; son, Gerald Lippa, parents, Linda and Giuseppe Lippa, sisters, Lola (James) Lapi, Ida Stanton, mother and father-in-law, Angelina and August Marcanio, sister and brother-in-law, Norma and William Sollberger Sr., and grandson-inlaw, David Story.
Survived by his daughter, Sheila (Joseph) Accongio; daughterin-law, Diane Lippa, and granddaughters, Stephanie (Adam) Dray, Jennifer (Christopher) Thomas, Danielle Story, Renee Lippa, and nephew William (Patty) Sollberger Jr.

Sam was a WWII veteran serving in Normandy, Northern France, North Africa, and Eastern Europe. Sam worked at General Motors Delco until his retirement. Sam had a bright sense of humor, always ready with a funny (or close enough) joke, and was the original dog whisperer.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and was greatly loved in return. Funeral mass will be held Saturday Dec. 3rd at 11AM at St. Marks Church 54 Kuhn Road.

Interment Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
