Greece: Friday, August 24, 2007 at age 83. Predeceased by his sisters, Clem McManus and Ann Pompili. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Josephine (Troiano); children, Barbara (Raymond) Mosher, Sam Jr., Paul and Gary (Bonnie) Pompili; grandchildren, Kevin, Bryan, Andrea, Eli, Melissa (Sergio), Joseph (Jill), Elisa (Greg) and Michael; sister, Reggie West; brothers, Fred (Marlene) Pompili, Richard Degaetano, Robert Baleno; sisters-in-law, Teresa (Dominic) DiGiacco, Marylin and Claudia Trioano; brothers-in-law, Nick (Arlene) Troiano, Silvio Troiano; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the New Comer Family Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 9:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 2400 Ridge Rd. W. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Monroe Community Hospital Foundation, 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620 in his memory.
