Greece: Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at age 83. Predeceased by his parents, Paul & Lena Brescia; sons, David and Michael Brescia; brother, Anthony Brescia; sister, Louise Russo. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan Brescia; children, Gloria (Bill) Young, Mark (Marianne) Brescia, Monica Brescia, Patricia (Dave) Cocina, Paul (Joanne) Brescia, Christopher (Charisse) Brescia, Daniel (Lisa) Brescia; 13 loving grandchildren; several wonderful nieces and nephews. Sam was a US Navy Veteran.
Family will receive friends Friday (TODAY) 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 9:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 2400 W. Ridge Rd. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wilmot Cancer Center, University of Rochester Medical Center, 601 Elmwood Ave., Box 704, Rochester, NY 14642.
