GREECE- Samuel A. Soscia, 94, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019.
Sam was born in Rochester, NY on August 13, 1925 to the late Marco and Rose Soscia. Sam served his country honorably in the United States Army during WWII, where he retired as a Sgt. Major. After his military service he went on to work and retired from Eastman Kodak Co.
Sam is predeceased by his beloved wife, Julia, his brothers, Sebastian, and Peter, his sister, Gloria, daughter, Germaine, and his brother-in-law, Guy Pietrantoni.
He is survived by his sister, Marian (Vince) Nicosia, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, especially, Paula Pietrantoni and Lisa Colaianni, and several close and special friends especially the Alvito family.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester, NY 14626, on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 10:00am. Burial will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
