Sherry went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 20, 2022 at the age of 81.
She was predeceased by her parents, Daniel and Adeline McCarrol and sister, Patricia McCarroll.
Survived by her children Kathleen M. (John) Gear and Lawrence P. DiDio; former husband and close friend, Peter J. DiDio; sister, Kathleen M. Melia; nieces and nephews, Cherie (Tony) Gugliotta, Andrew Melia, and Daniel Melia; cousin, Mary (Kenny) Feight and several other cousins, great nieces, & nephews; and several close friends, especially, MaryAnn Lonski, Jean Cornelius, Irene Donofrio, and Jackie Perotta.
Sherry was a beautiful soul who truly lived her calling to serve God by serving others. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 37 years and truly loved her career. She worked for several nursing agencies and also worked as a dental assistant. She was a licensed esthetician and briefly had her own skin care business. She loved gardening,. writing, painting, and playing the piano. Most of all, she loved people. Her interactions with everyone she met and being a blessing to them was a her ministry every day.
Friends and family are invited to attend Sherry's celebration of life service at Hope Church, 1301 Vintage Lane, Rochester, NY on Tuesday March 1, at 10am. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
