Passed away on January 24, 2024 at the age of 91.
Predeceased by her parents, Seymour & Catherine May; sister, Ruth May; brother, Jack (Edna) May.
She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, James Oliver; children, Robert (Karin) Oliver, Catherine (Tom Schlitzer) Oliver & Stephen (Ellen) Oliver; grandchildren, Julie, Greg, Ashley, Joe & Jacob; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Lily, Kary, Noah, Connor, Gavin, Ryan & Christopher; nephews, Mike May & Greg May.
It was important to Shirley to put her family first and make sure they were happy. She would negotiate many deals with banks so we could get a pool, airplane, and other fun toys. Her interests included bingo, slots, garage sales, claw machine (more of an addiction collecting over a hundred stuff animals), knitting, cross-stitch, bowling, coupons, S&H Stamps. Shirley worked as a bank teller, drove a school bus, worked at the school, BONDS clothing store, Delco, and Kodak.
Family will receive friends Monday February 5, 2024 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue.
A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2024, 10:00am at St. Marianne Cope Parish at Guardian Angel's Church, 2061 E. Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY, 14623.
Private interment.
