Life Reflection
Shirley Jean Stone was born on December 30, 1957 the fourth of five children born to Samuel and Thelma Becoats in Rochester, New York. She departed this earthly life on August 13, 2020.
Shirley attended East High School and graduated in 1976. East High School is also where she first met her husband Robert Stone III.
On August 30, 1980, Shirley married Robert Stone III in Rochester, New York. To this union two children were born, Robert "Bobby" Stone IV and Iasha Stone.
Shirley was a devoted wife and mother and dedicated her life to God. She spent most of her life taking care of her family and raising her children. When her children matured, Shirley was employed as a food service worker at James Madison Junior High School and retired from Securitas Security Services where she worked as a security officer.
Shirley enjoyed gardening, interior design, listening to music, and outdoor recreational activities to include running, sledding with her kids, and bike riding. In her later years she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, often times reading them stories and singing with them. Shirley was also very charitable and loved to help others. She would donate toys to kids in the hospital and give whatever she could to anyone in need.
Shirley was predeceased by her son Robert Stone IV.
