Passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019 with her family by her side. She was 86. She was born to the late Andrew and Olive Weather on January 5, 1933 in Spencerport NY. She is predeceased by her granddaughter Nikki, sister's Betty & Joan, brother Bud. She is survived by her children: Vern (Chris) Packard, Jim Packard (Ruthie Zelkowitz), Nancy Packard, Shelley (Larry) Davis, Sue (Drew) Wentworth, Brother Don Weather, sister Dorothy Deeb, sister Mary Jane Sherlock; and grandchildren- Jeff, Justin (Brooke), Rich (Sarah), Alex, Zach, Tristan, Shannon, Jake, Michael, Jaxon and her great-granddaughters Aria, Malorie and Joanna. She loved to talk about her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughters.
She enjoyed going for long car rides, gamble at the slot machines, and spend time with "young people". She often said that young people make her feel young. Shirley retired from Rochester Telephone in 1991 after 25 years, starting her career as an operator. After retiring, Shirley took a job working at Twelve Corners Middle School in Brighton as the greeter. All the students, faculty, and staff loved their "Mom-Guard". It was the highlight of her retirement.
Family will receive friends Monday, June 3rd from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals; 2636 Ridgeway Avenue where a memorial service will follow calling hours at 7pm.
