Passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at his home in Webster, NY. He was born June 22, 1925 in Lewiston, UT, the son of B.V. and Leona Hendricks. He was married to Winifred South on October 15, 1941 and they shared 65 years together. Sid served as Communication Officer in the Merchant Marines for 3 years during WWII. He was employed as a Manufacturing Rep for constrution equipment in the Rocky Mountain States until his retirement in 1990. He enjoyed music, traveling and gardening. In August 2004, he moved from Denver, CO to Webster, NY. Surviving are his wife, Winifred of Webster, NY; 2 sons, Dennis R.(Marilyn)Hendricks of Fremont, CA and Curtis V.(Diane)Hendricks of Irondequoit; 4 grandchildren, Matthew Hendricks of Philadelphia, PA., Adam Hendricks of Buffalo, NY, Austin Hendricks of Fremont, CA., and Erin Hendricks of Fremont, CA. now serving with the US Air Force; sister, Lois Lynch of Ronan, MO. He was preceded in death by son, Rick S. Hendricks of Denver, CO. Sid was a member of the LDS Church.
The family will receive friends on Saturday,August 12 from 4-6PM at the New Comer Family Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. Interment will be in Denver, CO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
