Sophie Ann Dentlinger

Born on August 27th,1945 in Rochester and passed away on July 6th, 2022 at the age of 76 with her loving family by her side. Predeceased by her parents, Philip and Mary "Iacovangelo'' LaMartina; husband, Allyn G. Dentlinger. She is survived by her daughter, Amy (Ron) Jewell; granddaughter, Annie (Tyler Hill) Jewell; siblings, Mary Ann (Jeff) Rice and Frank (Carol) LaMartina; niece, Danielle (Kenny) Hauck; their children, Adrianna, Joey and Gia; nephew, Jeffrey (Deniece) Rice along with many cousins, friends and beloved dog Daisy. Sophie and Al trained standardbred race horses for a living. She also worked for BOCES Elementary Science Program in Spencerport, where she retired after 18 years. She loved taking care of and spending time with her family and friends. Sophie also enjoyed cooking and baking for the holidays. She especially loved the Christmas cookie baking tradition with her family. Family will receive friends on Wednesday July 13th, 2022 from 3PM - 6PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday July 14th at 10AM at St. John The Evangelist Church, 55 Martha St, Spencerport, NY 14559. Interment at St. Johns Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Sophie's name to a charity of your choice.
