"Aunt Sophie"
Rochester: Saturday, February 7, 2009, at age 90. Predeceased by her husband, Albert; daughter, Diana Jean; sisters, Anne, Mary and Pearl. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Donna and James Adams; special nephew, James (Jane) Mills; other nieces, nephews and special friends. Sophie was a member of the Rochester Americans Booster Club for over 30 years, and an avid hockey fan.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Hill Haven Nursing Home (2C), for the loving care given to Sophie.
Family and friends may call Monday, 4-8 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 160 Allens Creek Road, Rochester, NY 14618 or The Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14550 in Sophie's memory.
