Rochester: Friday, October 2, 2009, at age 65. Predeceased by his parents, William & Melissa (Ashline) Waldo. He is survived by his children, Brett A., Jarod W., Philip E. and Karyl Lea; granddaughter, Alexandra; sister, Jody Waldo of Stowe, Vermont.
Steve is a native of Vermont. He started his musical career at age 14 in a country band in upstate Vermont. Lured away by The Beatles in the 60's, he moved to Connecticut in 1968 where he played Top 40 Rock & Roll up and down the East Coast, and as far West as Missouri.
Steve moved to New York and took a break from music from 1973 until 1978, when he went back to his roots in country with local bands such as: The New Country Squires, Thoroughbred, Roadhouse, Karen and The Bounty Hunters, Closing Time, and finally to DoubleCross, where he has been for the last 9 years.

Family and friends may call Wednesday, October 7th, 5-9 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Private Service and Interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, Lifetime Care, 3111 Winton Road South, Rochester, NY 14623 in Stephen's memory.
