CHURCHVILLE- Susan A. Hockenberry-Walters, 63, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019.
Susan was born in Rochester, NY on August 14, 1955 to the late Raymond and Zillah "Sally" Hockenberry. On March 15, 1986 Susan married the love of her life, Jack Walters. They were married for over 30 years before his passing in 2017. Together they raised two sons. Susan will be remembered for her love of sewing, crafts, shopping, and owls. Her passion in life was her family, especially her two granddaughters.
She is predeceased by her husband, Jack Walters, her brothers, Raymond Hockenberry Jr., and John Hockenberry, and her in-laws, Frederick and Margaret Krahenbuhl.
She is survived by her sons, Jason (Melissa) Walters, and Christopher (Michelle Bruno) Walters, her granddaughters, Teresa, and Gabriella, her brother-in-law, Chuck (Kathy) Walters, and George Walters, her friend and sister, Lynn (Joe) DiBenedetto, her uncle, and a host of nieces, family, and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626, on Monday, May 6, 2019, from 10:00am-12:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 12:00pm. Burial will be held Grove Place Cemetery, Chili, NY.
