Tammy Ann Rivazfar-Lane

ROCHESTER - Tammy Ann Rivazfar Lane died on May 14, 2020 after a long illness. She was 56. Tammy was born in 1964 to Stella Delores Stedge and Richard Lane in Rochester, NY. She was raised by Stella and her father Kenneth Raymond Newton, Sr. She was mar­ried to Michael Arroyo in 1982, and then to Ahmad Rivazfar, the father of her four children, on December 24, 1987. Tammy enjoyed long phone calls with her loved ones and cooking. She loved being near water, spending summers at Alexandria Bay and nights enjoying breezes off the lake at O'Laughlins. Tammy be­lieved in giving voice to those who were voiceless. She was a lifelong Democrat, an advocate for re­productive rights, and volunteered at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

She is survived by Ahmad and Michael; four daughters, Alexandria, Mina (Brandon) Hoyt, MaKenna, and Chloe; two stepchildren, Sayeh and Arash; and siblings Joann Lane, Robin Ama­rena, Ken, and Ken, Sr. She is predeceased by her mother; aunts, Ann, June, Pauline; uncle, Floyd; best friend Scotty; and stepdaughter Sara.

Tammy preferred that no organized memorial services be held.
