She was born April 13, 1926 in Palestine, AR to Abraham Lincoln and Arizona (Settles) Taylor.

She believed that family was everything. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She was an excellent cook and would feed you if you came to her house. She was especially known for frying some fantastic chicken wings that were finger licking good!

She was also a founding member of the Open Door Baptist Church with Pastor Tom Hauser. She attended regularly until her health declined in 2012.

She retired from Eastman Kodak and was an Eastern Star member.

She is preceded by her loving husband of 57 years, Arthur J. Clark, her parents A. Lincoln and Arizona Taylor, her sister, Roberta (Ellis) Bishop (Buchanan, MI) and brother Crable M. (Tommie) Taylor (Los Angeles, CA).

She is survived by her children, Arthur Jean Clark, Vivian Ruth Newsome and Milt Newsome and Sheila Newsome, a compassionate and caring daughter in law; 11 grandchildren (Jean-2, Vivian-5, Milt-4), 20 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, a very special grand god-daughter, siblings, A. Lincoln Taylor, Jr., Bonnie Taylor both of Little Rock, AR, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins across the USA and Canada.

Her one and only son, Milt, lovingly cared for and attended to her every need from 2014 until she departed this life. Sheila, her daughter in law, Maurice Newsome and Vincent Freeman, her grandsons, Iyana Viruet-Newsome, her grand god-daughter and many friends also provided assistance with her care in recent years. Milt extends his upmost gratitude to them and all the doctors, nurses, caregivers and everyone else who loving cared for his mother.
