Passed away on December 23, 2024 at the age of 73.
Thomas J. Hruby, a cherished soul and vibrant spirit, was born on November 24, 1951, in the town of Poughkeepsie, New York. He peacefully departed this world on December 23, 2024, leaving behind a rich tapestry of memories woven with love, music, and heartfelt connections.
A proud veteran, Thomas devoted four years of his life to serving in the Air Force, embodying the values of dedication and strength. His service reflected his unwavering commitment to his country, a testament to his character that many came to admire.
Thomas had a profound passion for music, with The Beatles holding a special place in his heart. He could often be found strumming his guitar, lost in the melodies that had been the soundtrack to his life. His love for music was not merely a pastime; it was a profound part of who he was, bringing joy to those around him and creating moments of connection through shared tunes and laughter.
In addition to his musical talents, Thomas had a unique skill for repairing electronics, and his reputation as the go-to person for those in need of repair was well known in Brockport. The shopkeepers in town knew him by name, as he frequented their stores, forming bonds that transcended mere transaction. He had a knack for finding a hidden gem and enjoyed visiting the local candy store, where he would select sweets to fill a dish he had lovingly chosen from an antique shop. These small, thoughtful gestures were a reflection of his warm heart and spirit.
Thomas leaves behind a legacy of kindness and creativity, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His life reminds us of the beautiful simplicity of shared passions, the warmth of community, and the deep connections that music and kindness can forge.
His presence will be profoundly missed, yet his spirit lives on in the memories he created and the lives he touched. As we remember Thomas, let us do so with joy, celebrating his passions, his service, and the love he poured into every aspect of his life.
