Thomas J. Elam,
Peacefully on Friday, February 29, 2008 at age 58 with his family at his side. He is predeceased by his parents, H. Thomas and Rita Elam. Survived by his children, Marc (Michelle) and Michelle Ricciuto: grandchildren, Chelsea, Michael, Madison, Avery and Brittany; sisters, Beverly Klingler and Marsha (Alan) Shopes; brother, John (Mary)Elam; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Tom was a member of the IBEW for 40 years and will always be remembered as a gentle, loving, caring, selfless person who always put the needs of others ahead of his own.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Journey Home for the exceptional care given to Tom during his illness.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 4th from 4-8PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue, where services will immediately follow at 8PM. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Wednesday at 10:30AM. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Journey Home, 994 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY 14626.
