Passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, January 27, 2021 at Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center at the age of 56.
Tim was born on August 5, 1964 in Rochester, NY, a son of Richard A. and Sandra A. (Maxon) Behnke. Tim graduated from Hilton High School in 1982 and went on to study polish language and literature at the University of Pittsburgh and then early childhood education at Nazareth College where he obtained his master's degree.
After graduating college, Tim went on to work for the Rochester City School District as a second-grade teacher for over 30 years.
Tim is predeceased by his father, Richard Behnke and his sister, Christine Caiola.He is survived by his mother, Sandra, his sister, Kelly (Rick) Ramble, foster brother, Kenny Ingianni; several nieces and nephews, Derek (Rachel) Lee, Greece, NY; Nicole (Tommy) Armstrong, Hamlin, NY; Alexandra (Leszek Stankiewicz) Caiola, New York City; Sophia (Justin) Lovdahl, Ohio; Adrian Caiola, Fairport, NY; brother-in-law, David Caiola, Fairport, NY; his uncles, Bruce (Julie) Maxon; Dave Behnke; aunts, Sharon Spring; Marcia Behnke; and several cousins.
Tim enjoyed riding his bike, spending time with his dogs, Judah and Mozart, and reading. He loved teaching and he loved his students. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Calling hours will be held on February 13, 2021 from 1-2PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, Westside Chapel, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester, NY 14626. A private funeral service will immediately follow. Contributions may be made to Hildebrandt Hospice Center, 2652 Ridgeway Ave Rochester, NY 14626.
