Vincenzo Presciutti, 89, passed away surrounded by his family on January 25, 2024, at his home in Rochester, New York.
Vincent is predeceased by his loving wife, Marie; parents, Onofrio and Santa Presciutti.
He is survived by his children, Sharon A. (Michael) Rialdi and Vincent G. (Shelly) Presciutti; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Anna DelCorvo and Mary (Frank) Pollifrone; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
At the age of 18, Vince joined the Army and proudly served from 1952 to 1955, fighting in the Korean War. He could go on with his stories and in his voice, you could hear the pride he had for serving his country. This did not go unnoticed, and Vincenzo had a chance to go on the Honor Flight. The tears of joy and pride floated off of him.
Vince married the love of his life, Marie, on April 21, 1956. They then became loving parents to Sharon and Vincent, sharing respect and trust as a strong family bond. Vince was a great husband and caretaker to Marie in the great times of traveling and cruises and also in the difficult times of Marie's sickness. It only strengthened our bond as a family. La Per Voi (there for you)!
His love for his grandchildren is unconditional. He felt so blessed that he got to become a great-grandfather and the joy of loving them all warmed his heart. Vince was a hard worker his whole life, sometimes holding two jobs as he was the best provider. When he retired from New Penn golf quickly became his passion.
Family will receive friends Thursday, February 1st 4:30-7:30PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Vincenzo's Memorial Service will immediately follow.
Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Friday, February 2nd at 12 noon.
