Ginny passed away unexpectedly on August 7, 2022, at the age of 73.
Ginny is predeceased by her parents Michael Stanley and Muriel Campbell; sisters, Marilyn Marino and Kathy Stanley Hamilton; niece Katie Samson. She is survived and beloved by her children, John M. Eisenberg and Kathleen (Tom) Moughan; grandchildren, Aidan Stanley-Coughlan and Xavier Moughan; brother Michael (Theresa) Stanley, sister Joan (Ted) Samson; nieces Kristen, Karen, Michelle, Alyssa, Molly and Maggie; nephews, David, Michael, and Josh, along with many cherished friends.
Ginny lived boldly and loved deeply. She was the life of the party. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings, playing cards, going out to eat with her friends, and being close to those who were most important to her. She was a skilled cook, avid traveler, and Chardonnay connoisseur. Ginny's zeal, love, and spirit filled every room she entered and struck everyone she met.
Ginny was a woman of profound faith who had an unwavering sense of justice. She worked in the Rochester City School District for over twenty years in service of children with special needs. She was a fierce advocate for and friend of LGBTQ+ people. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people everywhere she went and to make those in her orbit feel like family. Her sense of love and loyalty transcended time and endured every period of hardship or adversity.
Ginny will be remembered by all those who knew her as a true character. Her vibrant presence, laughter, and inalienable spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday August 18, 2022, 4pm to 7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd, Rochester,NY
