Wanda T. Wright-Bowman

Passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024 at the age of 95 after a lengthy battle with dementia.

Predeceased by her parents, John & Nellie Zielonka; her first husband, Theodore Wright; second husband, Donald Bowman.

She is survived by her children, John (Paula) Wright, Thomas Wright, Ted (Cheryl Santore) Wright, Patti (Joe) Wagner & Kathy (Rob) Franco; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Jane Chrzan.

Wanda was born and raised in New York Mills, New York. She graduated from Plattsburgh State Teacher's College in 1950 as a School Nurse Teacher. Wanda and her first husband moved to Penfield from Long Island in 1958 where they raised their family. She went back to work in 1969 as a School Nurse at Palmyra- Macedon High School, retiring in 1990. Wanda loved golf, bridge, gardening, traveling & had a deep love for her pets. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family in the Adirondacks at the family cabin that she helped build with her first husband. Wanda cared deeply for her grandchildren & enjoyed spending time with them.

The family is very grateful to the staff on Porter South at the Friendly Home for the loving care they provided for many years.
