In memory of Wayne C. Brigman
June 18,1933 to August 24, 2018
Wayne Brigman was born in Skandia, Michigan to Clayton and Mildred Brigman. He served four years in the US Navy and graduated from both Northern Michigan University and Wayne State University. On June 16th 1962 Wayne married Elaine Ohr. Together they moved to Ann Arbor, MI and then to Rochester, NY in 1965 where they lived and raised their family.
Wayne worked for Rochester City Schools as a social worker. He enjoyed sports his whole life, especially tennis, squash, badminton, golf, camping, and sailing.
After retiring, he enjoyed other favorite activities including playing the saxophone with the New Horizons Band and his Jazz band. He also enjoyed singing Barbershop with the Chorus of the Genesee. They sang at the Harmony House in Webster. Wayne loved spending time and traveling with his family and friends.
Last April, Wayne mourned the loss of his wife of 55 years, Elaine. He is survived by his two daughters, Martha Kaiser of Apex, NC and Tracy Ardalan of Grand Island, NY and three grandchildren – Emily, Sarah and Kristina.
A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church located at 2567 Browncroft Blvd in Rochester on Saturday, November 24, 2018. Calling hours will be from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm to receive friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to The Chorus of the Genesee / Harmony House in Webster, New York.
