Wayne N. Lamicela

Wayne Lamicela, 68, of Fairport, NY, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025. A Brooklyn native who made Rochester his home, Wayne graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Chemical Engineering and went on to build a career at Eastman Kodak Company. However, it was his kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit that truly defined him.

Those who knew Wayne will remember his zest for life and the way he embraced every moment with authenticity and warmth. He found profound joy in nature, whether hiking trails, bow hunting, or fishing. His other passions included practicing jiu jitsu, enjoying live music, and sharing stories over a pint of Guinness. Above all, Wayne treasured time with his family, making everyone feel welcome and valued with his quiet strength and genuine care for others.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jean; daughter, Casey; brothers Ron (Christine) and Jeff; and numerous nieces, nephews, and step-children who were blessed to have him in their lives.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Open Door Mission in Rochester, NY, an organization whose work embodies Wayne's spirit of generosity and compassion for others.
