Wilhelmina Benesch (Lutsch)
Rochester: Thursday, July 1, 2010 at age 91. She is predeceased by her husband of 61 years, John; sisters, Maria Bachner, Katerina Weber, Rosina Emrich, Christina Lutsch, Susanna Cassara and Christina Bachner. Survived by son, John (Claire) and daughter, Mary W. Benesch; grandchildren, David (Hillary), Benesch of DePew, NY and Katherine (Brian) Housand of Littleton, CO; great-granddaughters, Lydia and Anna Housand (born June 28, 2010); several cousins, nephews and nieces.
Wilhelmina "Minnie" was born in Watertown, NY and taken to Romania, her parents homeland at the age of 2. She married in 1937 and started her family at the outbreak of WWII. The family spent several years in Austria following the conflict and immigrated to Rochester in December 1949. Over the next 45 years, Minnie was employed in the garment industry, Stromberg Carlson, Eastman Kodak and the Holiday Inn.
There will be no prior calling hours. Minnie will be interred at White Haven Memorial Park alongside her husband. A Memorial Ser-vice will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 800 East Ridge Road, Rochester, NY 14617 where Minnie was a 60 year member.
