William J. Ayotte, affectionately known as Bill, was born on April 15, 1944, in Rochester, and passed away on December 20, 2024, in Newark. Bill lived a life rich in love, dedication, and passion. A tool and die maker by trade, he took great pride in his work at Xerox, where he eventually advanced to the role of model maker, an achievement that exemplified his commitment to craftsmanship.

Bill served honorably in the army for three years, a testament to his character and sense of duty. His military service was an integral part of his life, shaping the values he carried into his civilian pursuits.

A man who genuinely loved life, Bill found joy in spending time outdoors. He had a deep passion for hunting, camping, boating, and fishing, activities that provided him with cherished memories and experiences. His adventurous spirit was matched by his unwavering love for his family and friends, who were the cornerstone of his existence.

Bill is survived by his sons, Bill (Tracy), Jim, and Joe (Tammi), who carry forward his legacy of love and resilience. He was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather, delighted by the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought joy to his life. Bill's brothers, Mike (Joan) and John (Jodi), remain to honor the bond of brotherhood that was central to his life.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Teresa, whose memory lived on in his heart, and by his parents, Tom and Helen, alongside his brother, Tom. Bill’s family and friends will remember him as a devoted husband, a loving father, and a true friend, whose zest for life and commitment to his loved ones will never be forgotten.
