Redwood, NY: Passed away Friday, September 4, 2009, age 78 at home in Clear Lake under the care of Jefferson County Hospice. Originally from Utica, NY, he resided many years in Rochester (Greece), NY; then in West Bloomfield, Ontario County. He was a summer resident at Clear Lake and wintered in Summerfield, Florida. William was a life member of the Greece Ridge Volunteer Fire Dept.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Diane (DeCook) Muthig; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Susan of Greece; daughter, Sandra; 3 grandchildren, William, Anna, and Trystan; great-granddaughter, Alexxis.
Family and friends may call Sunday (Today) 3-6 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where his Funeral Service will follow at 6 PM. Burial will be held Tuesday, September 8th, 1 PM at West Bloomfield Rural Cemetery, West Bloomfield, NY. Those wishing may make donations to Jefferson County Hospice, 425 Washington St., Watertown, NY 13601 in William's memory.
