Helen was born in Rochester, NY on September 29, 1922. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1940.
Helen was preceded in death by her father, Nazzareno Vernarelli; mother, Vittoria (Giovanoli); sisters, Nydia Boxwell, Dora Vernarelli and Thelma Colangeli; husband, Alphonse Palermo and son, John Palermo.
She is survived by her children, Sharon Palermo (John's wife), Lewis Palermo (Sue), Linda Harrington, Sarah Starr (Brian), Daniel Palermo (Diane) and Melissa Lockwood (Randy). She also leaves generations of many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford, on September 29, 2022 at 11:00 am.
