With heavy hearts yet profound gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we bid farewell to Zeina Ghabour Atallah, a pillar of strength, grace, and love, who peacefully passed away on June 12, 2024, in Rochester, NY. Her journey began on November 11, 1921, in Chekka, Lebanon, where she embraced life's challenges and joys with unwavering resilience and kindness.
Zeina leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, cherished by her beloved family. She is survived by her adoring children: Auriette Nasr, Halim Atallah and his wife Suzanne, Asmahan Atallah, Gabriel Atallah and his wife Doris, Fady Atallah and his wife Jennifer, as well as her late sons wife Sonja Atallah. Their lives are testaments to Zeina's enduring love, wisdom, and strength.
Her memory will forever be held dear by her grandchildren: Fahed Mlayess, Elias Nasr, Julia Mlayess, Tania Nasr, Zeina Atallah Kazour, George Atallah, Antonios Atallah, Diane Atallah, Solaire Atallah, Youseph Atallah, Eddy Atallah, Suzy Atallah, Anthony Atallah, Desiree Atallah, Chloe Atallah, and Christian Atallah. Zeina's love extended to her great-grandchildren: Odessa Nasr, Julie Nasr, Halim Atallah, Sophia Mlayess, Theodore Kazour, Aren Atallah, and Maxwell Kazour, whose lives were brightened by her warmth and affection.
While we mourn her passing, we take solace in knowing that Zeina is now reunited with her beloved husband, Antonios Atallah, and her children George Atallah, Anias Atallah, Francois Atallah, Josephine Mlayess, and Joseph Atallah, as well as her grandchild Joseph Mlayess Jr. She was also preceded by her siblings: Mariana Daher, Linda Chahine, Chalita Ghabour, Joseph Ghabour, and Sister Edith. Their spirits now dance together in eternal peace, surrounded by love.
Calling hours to honor Zeina's memory will be held at New Comer Funeral Home on Monday, June 17th, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Address: 6 Empire Blvd, Rochester, NY 14609. A heartfelt service will follow next day on Tuesday, June 18th at The Church of St. Nicholas Melkite at 11:00 am. Address: 1492 Spencerport Rd, Rochester, NY 14606.
Zeina Ghabour Atallah's life was a symphony of love, compassion, and strength. Her legacy will continue to inspire and uplift all those who were fortunate enough to know her. Though she may no longer walk among us, her spirit will forever illuminate our hearts, guiding us with her timeless wisdom and unwavering love. Rest peacefully, dear Zeina, knowing you are forever cherished and deeply missed.
